The Will
Synopsis
Early in her life, Josephine Malone learned the hard way that there was only one person she could love and trust: her grandmother, Lydia Malone. Out of necessity, unconsciously and very successfully, Josephine donned a disguise to keep all others at bay. She led a globetrotting lifestyle on the fringes of the fashion and music elite, but she kept herself distant.
While Josephine was trotting the globe, retired boxer Jake Spear was living in the same small town as Lydia. There was nothing disguised about Jake. Including the fact he made a habit of making very bad decisions about who to give his love.
But for Josephine and Jake, there was one person who adored them. One person who knew how to lead them to happiness. And one person who was intent on doing it.
Even if she had to do it as her final wish on this earth.
5 Shiny stars!
I loved Jake and Josephine together!
I really enjoyed reading their story and 'witnessing' them getting to know one another, trust one another, and yes...finally fall in love with one another.
Jake's character reminded me an awful lot of of Tack's [b:Motorcycle Man|13448656|Motorcycle Man (Dream Man, #4)|Kristen Ashley|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1337615202s/13448656.jpg|18968802] (which is not a bad thing!).

Oh, how I LOVE fight night!
...and Josephine was amazing with her amazing fashion, quirky personality, sass, clumsiness, and loyalty to those she considered her own.
Josephine

But, in all honesty my favorite character in this story was Lydia.
Lydia, who in her infinite wisdom masterminded this exquisite plot to force the two people she loved the most, and who she knew were perfect for one another, to finally have a chance to see for themselves what she already knew. That they were meant to be together.
This was a wonderful story of stepping out of comfort zones, second chances, new beginnings, forgiveness, redemption, and learning to let go of the past and moving forward to bigger and happier things.
I am so excited that KA has started this series, and cannot wait to read the next installment (maybe it will be Mickey's story *crosses fingers*)!
... Finally
I'd like to give a shout out to Dorsey who was my buddy for this read.
Thank you so much lovely!
