Rock Chick (Rock Chick, #1) - Kristen Ashley

April 11-12, 2012

OK there are so many things I LOVED about this book.

The history between the characters in this book.
Indy and Liam (Lee) have know each other... forever. She's been in love with him since she was 5 years old (since he held her hand at her Mother's funeral).
Indy and Ally have been friends since birth (tried and true best friends- through thick n' thin), and I REALLY LOVED that Indy's Mom and Ally's Mom were also BFF's, that they made blood oaths, and that they planned (when they were young) that their children would grow up and get married... and then they would really be sisters.

Indy was hilarious! I was laughing out loud so many times my children were looking at me funny.
She had guts, gumption, and sass! LOVED. LOVED. LOVED HER...ROCK ON!
She is probably one of my favorite female characters ever!

The story, characters, and writing also great... just to name a few of the things that I loved about this story!

So, so glad I started this series, now I 'get' Nightingale Investigations and the characters mentioned in the 'Dream' Series.

I just had the urge to read the story of where it all started. Last night I hunkered down, and re-read [b:Rock Chick|6538757|Rock Chick (Rock Chick, #1)|Kristen Ashley||6730978]... and once again, I ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!!
Great characters, story, humor, and the ending with Kitty-Sue sharing her 'Best Friend Box' with Indy and Ally...had me in tears once again.
My absolute FAVORITE part of the story is still when Indy takes Eddie to Walgreen's to buy condoms for Lee...CLASSIC!!!!
Again a 5 star rating!!

Had a day off so I decided to re-read Rock Chick. I'm supposed to be writing a review for Rock Chick Revolution which I've been procrastinating about for the last couple of days.

I wanted to re-visit my introduction to Indy & Ally, and KA you've continued to to consistent with your characters...Kudo's to you & thank you for that!

Once again, I loved this story. Liam (Lee) and India (Indy) are still two of my favorite fictional couples. I read this book and I just want "more" (I feel the same way about Luke & Ava too).
